Obituary for Diane Kramer

Diane Lynne Kramer age 60 of Cedar Springs, Michigan passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

Diane is best remembered as a caregiver as she spent over a decade looking after residents in her role as a CNA at Edison Christian Assisted Living in Grand Rapids. Away from her work she was a caring mother and wife, passionate about the well-being and success of her family.

Diane joins her mother Sally Kaupa (Covey), along with her grandparents Florence Kaupa (Parbel), Frank Kaupa, Grace Covey (Maynard), and Walter Covey. Diane is survived by her husband of 21 years Steve Kramer, her two sons Brandon and Alex Kramer, her father Rodger Kaupa, her siblings Don Kaupa, Kathy Prause (Kaupa), and Ted Kaupa, her nieces and nephews Whitney Stanton, Tiffany Maczka (Stanton), Jessica Duemler (Stanton), Mackenzie Horton (Kaupa), Rachel Fox (Kaupa), Nicole Armock (Kaupa), Derick Kaupa as well as many in-laws including William Prause, Kathy Kaupa (Raab), Cheryl Kaupa (Gedris), Nancy Kramer (Moomey), Pam Thebo (Kramer), and Julie Bute (Kramer).

The Mass of Christian Burial for Diane will be on Thursday, February 9 at 11:00 am, at Mary Queen of Apostles, 1 W. Maple St., Sand Lake, MI 49319 with Father Lam Le presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior in Cabrini Hall located behind the church. Lunch will follow the Mass of Christian Burial in Cabrini Hall. Interment will take place after the luncheon at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery in Standale.
Memorial contributions in memory of Diane may be given directly to the family or to Mary Queen of Apostles/St. John Paul II parish where Diane was a parishioner for over two decades.
