Obituary for Deborah Deneen

Deborah Lynn Deneen (aka Dubba D), age 72, from Grand Rapids Michigan passed away peacefully at home in Rockford surrounded by her family on May 14, 2023.
Dubba D was one in a million. If you were ever lucky enough to have crossed paths with our Dubba, then you truly are one of the fortunate ones. She knew no strangers. Her charm and quick wit blessed her with the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. That was one of her many wonderful gifts. Words used by her friends and family to describe Dubba D's personality are caring, loving, funny and loyal just to name a few. She was always so much fun to be around. You never felt alone or left out when you were in her company, and whoever she happened to meet and converse with always walked away with a smile on their face. She just had that kind of personality.
Dubba D always looked out for the underdog and would go out of her way to help someone who was less fortunate. Always the optimist (and along with that sense of humor), she could always make even the most dire of situations seem not so bad. When she was diagnosed with the Glioblastoma cancer over a year ago, she faced it with determination, strength and positivity.... exactly how she lived her life.
