Birney Sullivan was born June 28, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan and was called home to glory on October 19, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be held at First Community African American Episcopal Church, 500 James St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 at 1:00 p m, Saturday October 29, 2022.

He leaves to cherish his Wife Lydia Parham Sullivan, Daughter Minister Samara (Eddie) Hough, and Granddaughter Tahlia Hough of Flint Twp, Michigan. Brother(s) Herman Stewart of Salina, Kansas and Darrell (Shannon) Sims of Swartz Creek, Michigan. Sister(s) Mildred Gordon of Los Angeles, California, Joan Watson of Kansas City, Missouri, Gertrude Myers of Denver, Peggy Ellison of Denver Colorado, Faye (John)Washington of Kansas City, Missouri and Lois Mosley of Denver, Colorado and Diane Sims of Killeen, Texas. God Daughters and Sons: Alana Davis, Rhonda Clarke, Gesele Jones, Minister Kamala Cunningham, Rev. Dr. Jonne Mc Coy White, Rev. Kizzy Kelly, Christa Brice, Lana Brown and Wayne Brown. Special Sister/Cousin, Patricia Brown and Brother/Cousin Sylvester Liggins of Dallas, Texas and Special Friends Charles Thompson, Tezell Morris, Richard Banks, Randy Thornton, Myrtle Collier, Ronald Mabin, Keith and Barbara Flowers, Edna Simmons, James and Shirley Moody, Bill and Ericka Atwood, Paul and Deborah, Rev.
