Alfredo Trinidad Cantu, 69, a resident of Hastings, MI passed away peacefully on December 22, 2022. Alfredo was born February 1, 1953, in Wyoming, MI to Carolina and Trinidad Cantu. He had graduated from Grand Roads Catholic Central High School in 1971. Alfredo served in the United States Air Force after high school. He was a known to be computer IT guru, loved to shoot the “shit” with anyone who wanted to chat & enjoy a great round of golf. He also enjoyed his time being on the softball fields officiating for USA softball & did so in a manner that got his daughter to follow in his footsteps.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother Trinidad Jr “Tiny”, his younger sister Maria, and brother-in-law, Paul Staeven. His survived by his siblings, sister Rosa Staeven of Grand Rapids, MI, his brother, Tomas Cantu of Grand Rapids MI, his children, Cori (Cory) Colby of Buford, GA, Daniel (Alyssa) Cantu of Salt Lake City, UT, Crystal (Jason) Manning of Ozark, MO, Roger Cantu of Salt Lake City Utah. Grandkids: Alex (Ashley) Colby, Ian Colby, Noveli Maciejewski, Kinley Manning & Great Grandson Jackson Colby. His nephews & nieces: Tresa (Carl) Corbeil, Jennifer (Rich) Langridge, Bob (Nicole) Staeven, Anastacia Cantu & Caitlin Cantu, along with many great nieces & nephews; and many great friends over the country he met in his travels.
